Major Google Page Ranks are updated with smiles and frowns! The Page Rank has created a stir in Search Marketing Industry as I write this blog to find Kidsfreesouls rated # 5 PR, mjakbar.org rated # 5 PR and Swagatgroup.net rated # 4 PR. (All 3 sites that I manage)

Many webmasters, who have had their sites penalized to a PR 0 in previous updates, are reporting small gains of 1-2 points with this latest update. If you've recently launched a new website it also might be a good idea to see how you fared but if you have a running site since long, it's important to remember that while this value can give a good indication of your sites progress, the values from toolbar PageRank can be around a month or so old.

Got an iphone? Cracked the code? Well, however slow Edge surf, I can still check on my sites any time of the day. But than, heard of Jailbroking iPhone? You can install an application that allows to install and enjoy 3rd party applications. Here's more on this. However, seems the latest firmware 1.1.4 isn't supported by that method. So, there's the ZiPhone to download at downloadziphone.org. Unlock, jailbreak and activate - Do it all.

But, why go in for a big process like this when you have the FlyTunes.fm - If you are tired of the same old tunes, just go here as the site features an iPhone-specific interface for streaming more than 90 channels of music, talk radio, and more direct to your iPhone. Register, you get an email, make your selection from the channels and within seconds the iPhone launches Quicktime and starts streaming. The interface also features an icon that informs you whether or not the station is available over the EDGE network, which most are.

Sometime back, I mentioned of Image Ads appearing in my Feedburner widget codes in my Ed note on Kidsfreesouls. Well, was that the testings...I wonder coz since Google Acquires Feedburner, Adsense users have more potential earnings as they can allow ads to their Feedburner codes. I also mentioned of Ads appearing in Headlines Animator and you can create an ad using the Google Adwords account.

Well, Feedburner goes live with Google Acquiring Feedburner services - Adsense Integrated with Feedburner site ads. Though the Acquisition terms are confidential, the deal is officially closed mentions their website here. The Press has an option to email Google on this page for info.

Now, this is an added opportunity to the already existing Feedburner users and if you're not using their Feedburner services, get the codes, publicise and monetize. Here's their latest Blog Post that says more on this.

Facebook has recently become everyone's darling! People influences people and nothing influences more than a recommendation from a trusted friend, says Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, who founded the company three years ago. Thus, Facebook has unveiled plans to target advertisements by targetting them into its members' conversations. The popular online hangout must persuade its users to embrace the initiative. The members have their own control and can say 'yes' to advertisers to pitch in friend's endorsements. If a friend has booked a vacation on Travelocity, the online travel agency will be able to display the friend's photo as part of a "social ad" to entice the user to buy flights and hotel stays. Advertisers can similarly have their pitches appear when friends review restaurants and buy books or DVDs. Read more here on this.

Well, some people may find creepy but than all is open in so open social networks as Facebook will be prying into profiles and activities to find what ads suit appeal best to users. The advertiser message has to go out in conversations as target ads will be integrated. Now, this is what we call getting 'commercial social networks.' And I always thought, why people do hang in wasting a lot of time around, giving flowers and sending applications and giving fishes and what not! Webmasters and writers hanging around social networks is promoting nevertheless a lot of time indulged in activities which demand time, money, energy!

Self Googling or call it 'Ego Surfing' scales higher with more online surfers found to be just looking for themselves or checking out their friends, co-workers or for romantic interests.

A research Entitled "Digital Footprints: Online Identity Management and Search in the Age of Transparency," Pew Internet and American Life Project said 47 percent of US adult Internet users have looked for information through googling themselves. The search engines sorted are either Google or of choice. 53 percent adult users are looking up for information about someone else with often, about those they've lost touch with. However, looking for information of friends, colleagues and the like is common. 60 percent people aren't worried about the extent of information about themselves online, despite of the concern on how the data can be used.

Pew finds that teens were more likely than adults to restrict who can see their profiles at online hangouts like facebook.

Well, Googling reveals a lot of information as people leave footprints on web. However, I always ego surf when I sort for my own writing since posting on a couple of websites and blogs since more than many many years, keeps one lose tract of posts and as such, google reveals all! So, it's quite easier to find the lost tracks. I've a special Children Search Engine here and you can find these ex students on the web with all their activities! That's how a teacher can keep a track of all its students:-) What they've achieved, where they are, what they're doing...n lot more. Even the ex students have united and called back reviving the memories of the yester years.

Searches have the capacity to reunite, reignite social connextions and even googling for professional reasons. Ego surfing finds way to stat reports too as the googling name reflects keyword on the stats while you visit the search results. As such, googling self or others itself is apt to increase as at least, once a person will look for his name.

So, the next time, you are leaving your impressions on the web with your words, images or searches, Google knows it all!
